Spring really is coming - I promise!

Spring Really is Coming!

It really is mind boggling to hear about the weather some of you are having across the country.

This week in the Boise area, we're ranging in the 40s & 50s with lots of sunshine! We had our winter too though with freezing temps, which on the farm means: frozen water, pipes, and fingers while feeding animals.

Spring really is right around the corner though as my tulips & daffodils (and weeds to join them) are telling me.

Local friends: time to sign up for riding lessons as well as summer camp! Did you drop out when the winter changed? That's OK, but we're already booking up and if you want to get back on the schedule, go to the riding lessons page and pick your preferred time slot and book it out a couple months so you're guaranteed your spot!

Summer Camp: Dates are up and ready with only 2 partial weeks still open and up to only 9 kids per session. Super small classes for individualized attention & learning. We learn about the livestock and farm life in general - and have a lot of fun doing it!

Babies, babies, babies! We've got 5 calves on the ground now with another 2 to come later this spring. If you're thinking about adding cattle to your homestead, really consider the Irish Dexters. They are EASY on the feed bill, sweet natured and end up offering more per pound for both meat & milk than traditional breeds.

We have a few red, polled (no horns) young stock for you to choose from.

Any day now, we'll have our Jacob sheep start lambing - call us today to add your name to the waitlist.

Norwegian Fjord horses:

While spring isn't here quite yet, people across the country have decided they aren't waiting for the weather to change before buying their new friend. Willows Sven is headed to Illinois & Willows Sasja is headed to Montana. Andvari is going to a new home here in Idaho. If a Norwegian Fjord horse is in your future, please contact us and let us know what you're looking for and we'll see if we can point you in the right direction. Or at least have you on record knowing what you're looking for.

Parties on the Farm:

Who doesn't love a party? Even our cows think parties are fun - we've had 3 calves born on the day of parties!

We would love to help facilitate your child's special day out on the farm with riding & our super fun farm tour. You can check out our Farm Party Packages by clicking here.
